National Preparedness Institute

Innovation and entrepreneurialism are nothing new to Indian River State College. These guiding principles emerged with the launch of the National Preparedness Institute in July of 2012. Critical to the success of NPI are partnerships among the workforce, government, education, industry and economic development. Through direct input from Florida businesses and public safety agencies, NPI develops and coordinates educational and training resources to boost the knowledge, skills, and abilities of public safety providers.

Mission Statement

The mission of the National Preparedness Institute is to enhance the readiness of public service professionals through education, training and consulting services.
