The Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex (TCPSTC) is home to the Center for Disaster Relief and Humanitarian Assistance. Since 2006 students have pursued hands-on training in Emergency Administration and Management through field-based simulations of complex humanitarian emergencies. These simulations are offered in training exercises held in Florida and an annual capstone two-week exercise in the Republic of Macedonia. Student participants come from a select consortium of schools around the country including the United States Military Academy at West Point, the Citadel in South Carolina, Northwest Missouri State, University of Florida, North Oklahoma College, and others. Learn more about these programs through the Consortium for Humanitarian Service and Education.
Through its Center, IRSC offers domestic and international humanitarian and disaster relief operation training. Through a series of civilian-led exercises dealing with complex international relief situations and using the resources of the TCPSTC facilities and faculty, IRSC is capable of expanding this cost-effective civilian response training to hundreds of additional participants each year.
