The Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex at Indian River State College (IRSC) is one of the most comprehensive, technologically advanced public safety training facilities in the nation. The complex is home to 18 programs that include Bachelors and Associate degrees, as well as technical certificate programs. Upcoming Classes
Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC)
December 10, 2020
This 16-hour course certifies EMT/Paramedics to meet the Florida State HRS/EMS requirements to operate an emergency vehicle.
Basic Life Support CPR Course
This is can be used for both an initial certification and re-certification.
Advanced Rescue & Survival School
January 6-8, 2021
This advanced fire course is a three-day program designed for firefighters and company officers who desire a high paced, data-driven, and realistic training program focused on self-rescue, firefighter survival, aggressive and proactive RIT/RIC operations, maintaining situational awareness, and understanding the psychology and physiology of a firefighter mayday. You must be a certified firefighter to take this course.
This course is offered in partnership with the National Rescue Consultants.

FLUSAR Rope Rescue Technician
January 12-15, 2021
This advanced fire 40-hour course is designed to train rescuers in high angle rescue recovery. This course meets and exceeds NFPA 1006 Chapters 5 & 6.2. The student will be trained in troubleshooting areas, rope systems, anchor systems, raise/lower techniques, stoke basket operations, high line operations, pick-off techniques, knot passing, and rope theory. Emphasis will be placed on safety, raising, lowing patient packaging, belay operations, as well as moving a victim in high-angle environments. Pre-requisite: Rope Rescue Operations.
This course is offered in partnership with the National Rescue Consultants.
